BridgeU - Edtech

Role: Senior product designer

At BridgeU, I lead design for a core user segment, university counsellor, and have also driven projects for students and university partners over the past two years. I own the end-to-end design of new features, from discovery and validation to ideation and delivery, working closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define and deliver user-centric, business-aligned solutions. I also facilitate key research and collaborate regularly with marketing, customer success, and partnerships to ensure impactful outcomes.

Achievements

  • Led the discovery and design for the “Lead Generation” feature for university partners. This resulted in new acquisitions and a 92% renewal rate with a conversion rate of leads at 40% a week (compared to an industry baseline of 30%).

  • Applied strategic thinking to facilitate the redesign of a new student app and core user experience, resulting in a 35% increase in university profile views.

  • Helped design and implement a responsive web app to work across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Collaborating with engineers to deliver scalable design solutions and ensure proper accessibility.

  • Led user research efforts for the product team, including drafting discussion guides, conducting interviews, and synthesizing insights to inform design decisions.

  • Implemented the design system for the new student app by working with developers, and collaborated with a visual design specialist to define the new visual identity.

Concirrus - Fintech, Insurance

Role: Lead product designer

I led the design for the marine insurance product Quest Marine. I was responsible for the end-to-end design process of new features, taking them through discovery, validation, ideation, and design. I worked closely with the developers, PO and PM to define feature specs and scope, but often collaborate with all areas of the business including sales, marketing, analytics, data science, and client services.

Achievements

  • Helped grow our flagship product Quest Marine to 20+ active business clients.

  • Ideated and tested the organisation feature set using workshops and client sessions to inform design, which is now a core product feature widely adopted by clients.

  • Validated and designed our broker prospecting feature, which received strong market feedback and full business support for development.

  • Mentored and coached a junior designer to mid-weight level.

Zapper - Mobile payments

Role: Senior visual designer

I helped support all areas of the business across web, apps, and print platforms, This ranged from marketing collateral, social media, event visuals, and advertising. I was also involved with conceptual projects and our mobile payments app. This had me regularly working with the product director and developers. I joined as a mid-weight designer and was promoted to senior.
